Leadership Development and Education Chair

Angel Aguirre

Angel owes her membership into Rotary to her oldest daughter and a persistent Rotarian. When her daughter joined Interact in high school, she had no way of knowing the profound impact it would have on her life or the many amazing opportunities she would have because she finally chose to join.  She tells others that persistence and "outside of the box" thinking are why she is a Rotarian today.

Angel has held a number of positions in her Rotary career. She is honored  to be a past-president of the Peoria Rotary Club. Currently, she is the President Elect for her new club Glendale West. She has served as a club secretary, public image chair, membership chair, service project chair as well as a member for any number of club committees.

She considers herself fortunate to be a Rotarian and uses her passion to help out at the District level. She has been an Assistant District Governor, Club Visioning Facilitator and Chair, PETS and RLI facilitator, plus CLA and PETS committee member. This year, she is pleased to be in her first year serving as the Leadership Development and Education Chair.

She reminds herself consistently that being a part of Rotary takes time, commitment and a willingness to work, but the rewards are immeasurable.
