For Elizabeth, Rotary is more than a service organization, it’s a philosophy she carries in her heart. At a young age, she loved to volunteer with Girl Scouts, school, and church. That never changed and, as she grew up in the Phoenix area, she eventually incorporated that same passion in her personal life and career in finance. With her love of family along with a busy schedule, Elizabeth realized in 2008 that Rotary was the perfect way to help the greatest amount of diverse people and causes in the most effective and efficient way. Rotary is the way Elizabeth expresses her heart of service.
Since that time, Elizabeth has immersed herself in many different areas within Rotary. In addition to serving as President of her club, she also successfully launched the Sun City Satellite Club. She has served as District 5490’s District Foundation Chair, a committee member for Rotary Youth Exchange, and most recently helped to launch District 5495’s first statewide Rotaract District Council. In 2017-2018, she was Chief of Staff in D5495, led two Interact (high school) teams to Kenya with Crutches 4 Africa, and headed her club’s participation as the international partner for a Global Grant project focusing on Peace in Mexico.
Elizabeth is a natural networker who enjoys helping Rotarians from all parts of the globe connect and meet each other, resulting in huge collaboration networks that affect global change.
Elizabeth was named to receive her district’s “Leader for the 2nd Century” award in 2015. She is a Major Donor and a Paul Harris Society member, who’s passionate about the amazing projects conducted by Rotarians all around the world and “powered” by the Rotary Foundation!
Note from Elizabeth – I am so excited to serve along each of you and learn about your personal connection to Rotary!
